Congressman Chatto highlights education in school anniversary speech
Bohol First District Representative Edgar Chatto emphasized the importance of quality education and alumni support during his keynote address at the 75th anniversary celebration of Cantaongon Elementary School in Loon, Bohol province.
Speaking at the school’s first grand alumni homecoming recently, Chatto outlined education as a crucial component of his "HEAT IT BOHOL" program, which encompasses Health, Education, Agriculture, Tourism, Infrastructure, and Information Technology.
The congressman pledged to push for additional school buildings, teaching materials, libraries, and other educational facilities to address the needs of the education sector.
Chatto also expressed support for Loon’s aspirations to establish a community college, which would complement existing public and private higher education institutions in the province.
The event was attended by local officials, including TESDA Provincial Director Carlito Quintano and Vice Mayor Loyd Lopez.
