DAUIS MAYOR SEES ADVANTAGE IN THREE-CORNERED FIGHT FOR RE-ELECTION

DAUIS, Bohol – Incumbent Dauis, Bohol Mayor Roman "Amoi" Bullen is unfazed by the prospect of a three-cornered fight for his seat in the 2025 elections, saying it could work to his advantage.

Bullen, who is seeking re-election, is expected to face competition from Vice Mayor Marietta Sumaylo and Dauis Councilor Nilki Marie Bolos-Delgado, according to reports.

Despite the potential challenge, Bullen remains confident in his chances, citing his track record of running a graft-free administration.

He also pointed to his ability to win the previous election without the support of allied barangay captains.

"I didn’t use money to entice voters in the last election, and I won’t do it this time either," Bullen said. "I’m confident that the people of Dauis appreciate what I’ve done for the town, despite the challenges we’ve faced in the last two years."

Bullen’s confidence is rooted in his administration’s reputation for transparency and accountability.

He has prided himself on running a government free of corruption scandals, and believes this will be a key factor in his re-election bid.

The outcome of the 2025 elections in Dauis will be closely watched, as Bullen’s leadership style and policies have been seen as a model for other local governments in the province.
