SENSATIVE AB, a rapidly-growing tech startup offering IoT solutions focused on pioneering, developing and marketing solutions that represent elegant, simple-to-use and high-value tools for smart homes, today announces their official integration with SmartThings, the easiest way to turn your home into a smart home.
SmartThings continues to expand its platform and the new family of Sensitive Strips is the latest innovation to be certified. Through this collaboration, SENSATIVE will offer new and unique smart home sensors compatible with SmartThings, making it simple to control and connect all of your smart home devices through the single SmartThings app.
By configuring Strips with SmartThings, you can allow the sensors to notify you when something is left open when something is opened when you’re not home, and even be set when you’re home sleeping. Use them indoors or outdoors to monitor the comings and goings of your home or trigger various automation.
“SmartThings is excited to welcome the new family of Sensative Strips to the SmartThings ecosystem and looks forward to offering consumers new seamless and innovative ways to secure, control and connect devices while saving energy and costs,” said Ralf Elias Vice President IOT at Samsung Electronics Europe, Global Business Development & Partnerships.
“Sensative has great synergy with the new line of SmartThings Hubs, that allows wireless connectivity with the newly announced family of Sensative Strips, helping consumers automate their homes with new and unique scenarios. Strips Guard serves not only as a door/window sensor, but its sleek, slim design allows placement in areas not accessible by traditional sensors,” said Anne-Marie Rouse, CMO of Sensative,
Guard can double as an activity monitor to protect valuables such as artwork, jewellery boxes and medicine cabinets. Comfort can be used anywhere to detect and report temperature and ambient light, triggering lighting, climate and shade controllers to automatically adjust, improving energy efficiency and occupant comfort. The unique new Drip water and freeze sensor fit anywhere, with a discrete design that blends seamlessly into even the smallest of spaces. With operating temperatures ranging from -4°F to 140°F, use cases expand to support a multitude of scenarios providing tremendous savings in time and expense. Both installers and customers appreciate the ease of use and efficiency.”
