360 Batuananons Receive Php 10,000 Emergency Housing Aid from NHA
A total of 360 residents of Batuan received Php10,000 each from the National Housing Authority (NHA) under its Emergency Housing Assistance Program (EHAP) on February 11, 2025, at the Batuan Gymnasium.
The beneficiaries are families whose homes were completely destroyed by Typhoon Odette.
The financial aid, long awaited by the Boholanos, was secured after multiple requests and follow-ups to the concerned agencies.
The distribution was conducted with the presence of NHA staff, Vice Mayor Zeniza Bulalaque, Executive Assistant Albert Tumanda—representing Mayor Dodo Jumawid, who was attending a meeting with other Bohol mayors—MSWDO Maricel Subsuban, and a board member.
Batuan LGU officials expressed their gratitude for the assistance due to the efforts of Mayor Jumawid, Vice Mayor Bulalaque, and the Sangguniang Bayan members in securing the much-needed aid for the affected residents.
NHA funding was first requested by then Governor Atty. Art Yap.
