Nationwide – Black Americans no longer need to struggle in their search to support black businesses and events. Leonard Young, founder of National Black Guide LLC came up with the innovative BlackGuide app (http://www.blackguideapp.com) after always hearing people talk about their troubles finding ways to support the black community when travelling (black businesses & events).
The BlackGuide App connects to National Black Guide’s 15+ city-based websites, each of which, provides local news, an event calendar, a black business directory, social media accounts and affordable advertising opportunities. The BlackGuide app also adds its own social network, forum, forthcoming entrepreneur of the month and a few more features items.

“We are excited to finally be launching this innovative app that will help stimulate economic development in our communities and recycle the black dollar. The best part of the BlackGuide app is that the content is 90% user-generated. As people add their events and businesses to the website (once approved), they are available to be accessed through the app and on the respective local website.”
National Black Guide LLC believes that this app will inspire users to take pride in their cities and support local black-owned businesses. According to the latest data from the SBA’s Office of Advocacy, African Americans own 2.6 million small businesses. The BlackGuide app is geared to empower individuals to have more options regarding ways they can be informed of and support these businesses.
