Bohol School Board Approves Initiatives to Support Education, Athletes
The Bohol Provincial School Board convened a meeting last week to discuss and approve initiatives supporting education in the province.
Among the proposals discussed was the granting of incentives to athletes from the Bohol delegation who won medals at the Central Visayas Regional Athletic Association (CVIRAA) 2024. The delegation bagged 62 gold, 138 silver, and 94 bronze medals.
The board also tackled support for the Robotics Olympiad held in April in the National Capital Region, as well as the CVIRAA Program Implementation Review, CVIRAA Incentives, Palarong Pambansa Incentives, Winning Coaches and Trainers’ Incentives, the Robotics Expo 2024, and TVL equipment.
Board Members Lucille Lagunay and Nathaniel Binlod, along with representatives from the Department of Education-Bohol Division, attended the meeting held at the PPDO Hall in the Provincial Capitol.
The provincial government has made education and youth development a priority, considering it a vital pillar in the province’s Strategic Change Agenda towards sustainable growth and development, particularly in the field of education.
