Microsoft to Introduce Latest Azure Certifications this May 2019

Microsoft Azure, a cloud platform for building, deploying, managing services and applications, has decided to retire it is Azure Certification Exam (AZ-100/101) with effect from May 1st, 2019 and Courses from June 28th, 2019. Skill Measurement Categories and Sub-Category Changes in AZ-103:

  1. AZ101 4.2, measuring Managed Role-Based access control (RBAC) skills, has now been categorized as AZ103 1.4.

  2. AZ101 3.2, Azure load balancer implementation skills, has now been categorized as AZ103 4.5.

  3. AZ101 3.3, Monitor and manage networking, has been renamed as AZ103 4.6- Monitor and troubleshoot virtual networking.

  4. AZ101 3.4, Integrate on-premises network with Azure virtual network, has now been categorized as AZ103 4.7.

  5. AZ 101 4.1, Implement multi-factor authentication (MFA), has now been categorized as AZ103 5.4.

What does it mean for the certification holders?

  1. If you have taken and passed the AZ-100 exam: You will be getting Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate certification on or around May 1, 2019.

  2. If you register to take AZ-100 and pass it between now and May 1: You will be getting Microsoft Azure Administrator certification on or around May 1, 2019.

  3. If you have registered for AZ-101, choose to take it, and pass: You’ll get the AZ-101 exam badge.

  4. If you have taken AZ-101 (regardless of if you passed or failed): You’ll get an exam voucher. The voucher can be used for any Microsoft exam delivered through Pearson VUE.

  5. All exam registrations for AZ-100/101 after May 1, 2019, will be cancelled.
