POLICE SEIZE SHABU WORTH 8 MILLION PESOS IN TAGBILARAN
Police seized an estimated 1.2 kilograms of suspected shabu in an operation in Tagbilaran on Thursday, authorities said.
The Provincial Intelligence Unit arrested Jeffrey Mahawan, 46, of Baclayon, who was considered a high-value target.
The seized drugs have an estimated street value of over 8 million pesos, according to police.
Authorities said Mahawan admitted to possessing the drugs, which he reportedly sourced from Leyte province.
The arrest follows recent drug-related apprehensions in Tagbilaran City.
Charges are expected to be filed against Mahawan, who remains in custody.
