San Miguel Mayor Hails Capitol for P5 Million Aid to Repair Town Hall

San Miguel, Bohol Mayor Ian Gil Mendez has expressed gratitude to the provincial government for providing P5 million in financial assistance to repair the town hall, which was damaged by Typhoon Odette.

Mendez thanked Governor Aris Aumentado for the aid, which he said will expedite the repair of the town hall. The mayor had been following up with the governor on the funding request, which was finally approved.

The town hall sustained huge damage during the height of Typhoon Odette, and Mendez had identified the repair of the building as a priority. With the funds now available, the mayor said that the repairs can be completed soon.

Mendez also expressed hope that the funds will also allow for the installation of waterproof cabinets to store important documents, protecting them from water damage.

The mayor’s office has been working to restore the town hall to its original state, and the Capitol’s assistance has been a big boost to these efforts.
