“The Town of Rye Sustainability Initiative invites everyone to attend this free educational event,” said Councilmember Tony Baxter, who is also the committee chairman. “It’s a great opportunity to ask questions about EV technology and how it can help communities like ours achieve greater environmental sustainability.” The Rye Town Sustainability Initiative Committee is devoted to promoting green infrastructure, including electric vehicle charging stations, water filling stations and LED lighting

Never perform an oil change again, and refuel with domestically produced energy by simply plugging into to an electric outlet. Across their life cycle, electric vehicles reduce harmful greenhouse emissions, toxic pollution, and the cost of fuel and maintenance. Ron Kamen will explain the multiple benefits of hybrid and all-electric vehicles. He’ll also describe the unique financial incentives that are available for consumers, including a variety of substantial state and federal tax credits.
