Today, financial technology company Wela announced that they have been named as a finalist in The UBS Future of Finance Challenge. As a finalist, Wela will pitch Benjamin®, an AI solution for financial advisors, at the event juries in New York on October 29 and 30, 2019. Wela was selected out of more than 400 companies that entered the competition and is one of only 10 finalists in the Deepening Client Relationships Challenge.
The UBS Future of Finance Challenge is an open competition for fintech startups and tech entrepreneurs around the world. For the third edition of this competition, UBS looked for ideas and solutions around four key areas; Technology Enablement, Smart Risk Management, Digital Transaction Rails & Tokenized Assets and Deepening Client Relationships.
As a finalist, Wela will benefit from hours of dedicated coaching from UBS experts, mentors and partners, including Deloitte. Wela will also have the opportunity to accelerate its ideas with UBS support and expertise in regional innovation spaces to further validate and commercialize Benjamin®.
The regional finale winner will receive a monetary prize and further support from the UBS team to commercialize and scale the winner’s ideas and technologies using UBS’ significant global presence, deep expertise in global banking and eco-system of innovation partners.
