Spot On Networks Completes Commercial RADIOBOOST™-ER Installation with Custom Frequencies Including UHF, VHF AND 700MHZ
New Haven, May 29, 2018 (Issuewire.com) – Spot On Networks, LLC installed and deployed its RadioBoost™-ER in two adjacent commercial buildings that offer Class A office space as well as in the garage spaces for the buildings. The properties are located in central coastal California and total more than 300,000 square feet. The buildings required identical systems, both of which contain custom bi-directional amplifiers. Specific frequency requests were made by the developer to include UHF, VHF, and 700MHz within the design to give complete peace of mind to the businesses that will operate in the office spaces. A total of three amplifiers are in each building radio network system to accommodate these requests and uphold government requirements.
RadioBoost™-Emergency Responder is a member of Spot On Networks CellBoost® family of services. Most new buildings are constructed with energy-saving technologies, low-emissions glass, concrete and steel which are notorious for blocking radio and cellular signals alike from penetrating the building. These radio dead zones can result in gaps in communication between first responders and building occupants. RadioBoost™-ER fulfills the national, state and local radio coverage requirements that have been mandated in the post-9/11 world.
“We are very excited about our RadioBoost product for Emergency Responder radio coverage,” stated Jessica DaSilva, Vice President of Spot On Networks, “In a post-911 world it is absolutely essential that first responders have adequate radio coverage to communicate with each other. Our turn-key system handles everything from researching compliancy to deploying and monitoring the system, allowing building owners and first responders to have peace of mind.”
A rooftop donor antenna and antenna distribution system are used for RadioBoost™-ER, to bring outdoor radio frequency inside of a building. It provides coverage in the 150 MHz (VHF), 450 MHz (UHF) and 700/800 (LMR) bands with the ability to provide coverage in future bands as mandated. The system provides radio coverage in the areas where it is needed most, including hallways, corridors, garages and subterranean levels.
