Kristi Scott Succeeds Benjamin T. Huebner

August 2019 CIA News: Kristi Scott is CIA’s new Privacy and Civil Liberties Officer (PCLO). The PCLO serves as an independent, primary advisor to the CIA Director and other senior Agency officials to ensure that privacy and civil liberties are integrated into the day-to-day conduct of the Agency’s mission.

Ms. Scott serves as CIA’s primary liaison with the Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board (PCLOB) and as the lead Agency officer for implementing the Principals of Intelligence Transparency for the Intelligence Community. In addition, Ms. Scott will serve as the designated CIA Senior Agency Official for Privacy.

A former federal prosecutor, Ms. Scott brings a wealth of experience to the position. She previously served as the Acting Director and Deputy Director at the Department of Justice’s Office of Privacy and Civil Liberties.

Ms. Scott succeeds Benjamin T. Huebner, who was recently named as the Chief of the Office of Civil Liberties, Privacy, and Transparency at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.
