The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has inaugurated a new office in Tubigon town, marking another legacy of Congressman Atty. Edgar Chatto’s efforts to bring government services closer to the people.
Located in barangay Cahayag, the LTO office in Tubigon is equipped to accept drivers’ license applications and vehicle registrations, according to LTO Tagbilaran registrar Yvonne Auxa.
The new office is expected to benefit residents in the northern part of Bohol, who no longer need to travel to Tagbilaran City to transact with the LTO.
Auxa said the new office will also help decongest the LTO office in Tagbilaran City, as people near Tubigon can now transact in the new office.
The establishment of the LTO office in Tubigon is part of Chatto’s efforts to bring government services to the grassroots level.
The congressman had worked with the national agency to come up with a plan for an LTO office in the northern first district town.
Other areas in Bohol with an LTO office are Talibon and Garcia-Hernandez. A law has also been approved to build an LTO office in Ubay town, although its implementation is still pending.
