San Diego, Apr 3, 2018 (Issuewire.com) – Branded Entertainment, a San Diego TV production company, announced it’s San Diego Film Awards nomination on the heels of it successful double broadcast on the MYTV13 Channel and DISH Network/FilmONTV partnership.
“We are especially proud of this nomination as it comes from fellow film/TV industry Directors, Producers and peers” said Ken Gora, CEO of Branded Entertainment and Creator/Director/Producer of THE ROMANCE. The San Diego Film Awards are held Sunday April 8th at Humphreys in San Diego.
THE ROMANCE TV series bills itself as telling ‘the real story of dating and romance’. The 12 episode TV series was filmed at over 100 San Diego County locations following the lives and storylines of 12 single women and 9 single men on their dates with each other and their search for love. The show focuses on people in real situations with a wider age demographic than most TV series.
“In our TV series the cast does not live in a mansion, no dates to Tahiti or Bora Bora, they are not all in their 20’s, we don’t ask for a proposal after 10 weeks…this show is about real life dating with real people and situations. “ said Producer Gora. “The MYTV13 network had such high ratings they aired it twice !”
In addition, the dating cast receives feedback about their dates and their search from a panel of judges and guest experts like Kim Seltzer, who is a Therapist, Image Expert and Dating Coach and Elle France, a Matchmaker. “Our judges and the feedback they give has allowed THE ROMANCE to be educational for the audience as well as entertaining” added Dr. Gora, whose Masters and PhD are in Psychology.
Several romances developed among the cast on the show and Dr. Gora revealed there are also two hidden storylines. “Audiences learn about a mysterious woman in the show know as Miss X” he explained. “ And some surprise appearances happen on the shores of La Jolla .”
THE ROMANCE also showcases San Diego and it’s great scenery, night life and many, many small businesses and products that are intertwined with the dating cast to impact the local economy. Six charity events are featured during the show with the Producers intent to impact causes in conjunction with Monarch Inc. THE ROMANCE previously was also nominated for BEST REALITY SERIES at the Reality TV Awards and WINNER of BEST REALITY PROGRAMMING at the Accolade Global Film Competition
