The Center for the Multidisciplinary Study of Cybernetic Existentialism has taken a subtle step to empower women by celebrating the victory of FIFA Women’s World Cup. The celebration included a party held simultaneously via Wattsapp in New York, Buenos Aires and a small town in Piedmont Region where the Founder of the center, Carmen Gallo, promoted the event from. Even if Carmen Gallo, the founder of the center never followed soccer before yet he took this initiative to raise awareness of the strength of women and their resilience. Carmen further added ‘The need for equal pay and the message sent with their victory has to go viral’.
It has been over three decades that The Center for the Multidisciplinary Study of Cybernetic Existentialism has been presenting contemporary art Philosophy, advanced technology. Also, recently, the center has embarked on its most visionary journey and presented an oil painting series ‘Fifty Years of Robotics in art’ by the painter of microchips and the father of Cybernetic Existentialism, Ruffo Caselli. 89 years old, Florence born Ruffo Caselli, leads a simple life with the minimum usage of technology and hi-tech gadgets yet his canvases painted with oil colors and dotted with microchips, display his profound knowledge in technology.
Following the events at the center, a private collector of art inspired by technology is now displaying a painting titled World Cup on Artprice.com. The best part of this painting is that it is signed by Ruffo Caselli. This painting has also lead to different interpretations and also people are trying to find the message it delivers. Maybe just like Ruffo has forecasted the dominance of technology with his oil paintings, this painting may be an indication of more advancement of women in the coming days that has already begun with their triumph in the Football world cup.
The Center For the Multidisciplinary Study of Cyber Existentialism is a non-political, non-sectarian platform for conversation on art and current events. The Center sponsored hundreds of art exhibitions with Ruffo’s paintings in cultural and technological venues in Italy, South America, Korea, Mexico, and the United States with a permanent show and exclusive representation at Spazio Italia Gallery and at the literary salon that sprung from it, in New York City’s Gramercy Park.
